Our neighbors invited us to pick cherries from their tree last night. We are eating the cherries, pitting the cherries and freezing some of them. The tree produced enough for several boxes.
I plan to use the frozen ones in the winter in my Shaklee Cinch shakes for breakfast. I've been using fresh strawberries and blueberries and had never thought of freezing cherries and using them this way.
I've read and heard nutritionists speak about the benefits of cherries for arthitis; so during the cherry season I make sure I eat some in the morning on an empty stomach as I do have some finger joints with arthritis in them.
We have 2 apple trees but we fighting off apple maggots. Hopefully our apple trees will produce enough good apples to share...this is natural nutrition at its best!
